1955 U.S. Proof Set (Box)

This set contains each of the circulation coins of 1955, carefully struck to bring out full detail on planchets polished to a mirror shine. Early proof sets like this are packaged with each coin individually in protective cellophane inside a cardboard box. This is the last year with each piece housed inside of a cellophane sleeve and protected by an outer cardboard box. Each set contains a Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, Washington Quarter, and Franklin Half Dollar.
